Onderzoek: Rood zorgt voor meer aandacht voor voedingsetiket

27 november 2017

For many people, red means “stop,” and that’s what consumers are doing when they see that color on food labels, according to a new study. The study showed that red helps maintain consumers’ attention to labels on packages of strawberries. The researchers wanted to know whether color helps draw consumers’ attention to information on food labels and impact their preferences. They compared red labels with blue ones because they are on opposite sides of the color spectrum. Red is associated with danger and avoidance. Blue is associated with peace and openness. An article about the research is published in Food Quality and Preference (Nieuwsbericht University of Florida, 26 oktober 2017).
