Identificatie van NIAS in nanofolie voor voedselverpakkingen

29 mei 2017

This study describes a multi-analytical approach for the evaluation of unknown substances that migrate from Food Contact Materials (FCMs). Researchers studied a developed polymer consisting of a monolayer film with PLA, polylimonene and zinc oxide nanoparticles. The screening of unknown compounds comprised retrospective analysis and data processing using both gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (LC) data.
This approach has provided the tentative identification and quantification of seven NIAS, 3 by GC and 4 by LC. This migration study was carried out according to the standard protocols established by EU regulation for FCMs. An article about the study was published in Talanta.
