Australië: Onderzoek naar waarschuwingslabels op alcoholische dranken

30 september 2014

A study on the acceptability among Australian drinkers of cancer warning statements for alcoholic beverages has found that cancer warning labels for alcoholic beverages would be accepted. The statement ‘Alcohol increases your risk of bowel cancer’ proved to be most effective.
The study was conducted by Curtin University to make it well understood by the public that there is a growing evidence of the increased cancer risk associated with alcohol consumption. As warning labels on alcoholic beverages are now mandatory in a growing number of countries, it is hoped this research will help guide government policy on mandatory warnings (Nieuwsbericht Curtin University, 21 August 2014).
