Euromonitor: Wereldmarkt drankverpakkingen

11 mei 2017

According to a new Euromonitor report, retail sales of beverages are on the rise and will likely maintain this trend to 2020. This growth is primarily driven by health, on-the-go consumption and premium trends. Soft drinks, which account for 65% of 2015 volumes, will drive the majority of volume growth. Alcoholic and hot drinks, however, will drive value upwards thanks to premiumisation trends.
Consumers want more from their products; they want to be able to interact with the brand in ways beyond billboards and brand sponsoring festivals. As the world becomes more connected, some brands have used digital technologies to provide customers with more than just a bottle of beverage.
