India werkt aan uniforme normen voor medicijnverpakkingen

28 mei 2015

The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) is planning to introduce uniform standards for packaging pharmaceutical products. The new standards, when put into effect, are expected to bring cost-effectiveness and uniformity in pricing of packaging, while boosting exports.
Pharmaceutical exporters and the IIP have concluded that standardisation of drug packaging is necessary as it will bring rationalisation in terms of costs especially for blister packaging, strip packaging or packaging cartons. By implementing the uniform standards, packaging cost will become uniform across the pharma industry, although the cost of drugs may differ (Packaging Gateway, 19 mei 2015).
