VS: Wetsvoorstel voor statiegeldsysteem in New Hampshire in nood

27 februari 2014

New Hampshire would have a container deposit scheme if HB 1287 is enacted into law, but at this time that appears unlikely. The bill, introduced in January 2014, would place a five-cent deposit on non-refillable containers of beer, ale, or other drink produced by fermenting malt, wine, wine coolers, soda, or non-carbonated water and all non-alcoholic drinks in liquid form and intended for internal human consumption.
However, after the bill was referred to the Committee on Environment and Agriculture, it was assigned “inexpedient to legislate” status, meaning the committee recommends killing the bill (State Recycling Laws Update, 17 februari 2014).
