VS: Regelgeving geïntroduceerd in Florida om kunststof draagtassen te verbannen op lokaal niveau

27 februari 2014

Florida SB 860 has been introduced, creating statewide standards for reusable bags and recyclable paper bags to be used by municipalities and counties that plan to enact carryout bag ordinances. It does not impose a statewide ban on single-use plastic bags.
The bill permits retailers in covered local jurisdictions to charge a 10-cent fee on each recyclable paper bag they distribute, itemizing the bag charge on the customer’s receipt. Retailers may retain 5 cents of each fee to cover their costs implementing the law. The other 5 cents would go to the local school district. If passed, the provisions of the bill would take effect immediately (State Recycling Laws Update, 17 februari 2014).
