A study conducted by Capgemini resulted in the finding of new trends that are forming our current industry. Recurring trends are still of importance, yet new trends are acting as catalysts in the transformation of our industries. These new trends are in the consumers’ increased access to information, the presence on social networks, demographic shifts, concern for health and wellbeing, the scarcity of natural resources and the increase in regulatory compliance requirements.
The report mentions that strategic thrusters, such as increased consumer engagement, company transparency and better last mile distribution help to create a collaborative network, thus achieving long term company growth.
