ECHA wil zeven nieuwe Zeer Zorgwekkende Stoffen toevoegen

28 september 2015

On August 31, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) opened a public consultation on a proposal to add seven chemicals to its list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC). SVHCs eventually are placed on ECHA’s Authorization List, restricting their use to limited time, narrow applications.
Dicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP), a common plasticizer, is one of the seven substances. It was proposed as a SVHC by Sweden, which has been aggressively trying to restrict the use of endocrine disrupting chemicals. Among the other six potential new SVHCs are nitrobenzene and 1,3-propanesultone. The public consultation closes on October 15 (Recycling Laws International, 14 september 2015).
