KONNECT INTELLIGENT VCI BARRIER SYSTEM is a modular corrosion-barrier packaging system for automotive, industrial metals, copper, and defence components. It uses water-based VCI technology (28% active solid / 72% water) impregnated into high burst Kraft paper and fabric-laminated composite substrates via a proprietary in-house coating machine. Corrosion costs the global economy USD 2.5 trillion annually (NACE IMPACT Study, 2016). KONNECT eliminates this threat at the packaging level, through two substrate formats: (1) High burst Kraft paper precision-coated with proprietary VCI liquid, which impregnates deep into paper fibres as the water evaporates, creating a slow-release molecular protection depot. (2) Woven fabric laminated to Kraft paper, then VCI-coated, for heavy, sharp-edged parts requiring superior tear resistance. Both deliver 8-12 months of active corrosion protection per cycle, validated to ASTM D1748 and ISO 9227. The formulation is zero-VOC, with no oils, grease, or hazardous inputs, already serving Tier 1 automotive suppliers, Sevojno Bakra Copper Mill (Serbia), and Defence Industries, Government of India.

KONNECT is an entirely new packaging category, not an improvement on existing formats. It is the first modular VCI barrier system validated across automotive, copper, and defence sectors, with chemistry molecularly embedded into the paper substrate rather than surface-applied. It replaced toxic industrial greasing at Sevojno Bakra Copper Mill at lower cost, and is entering European defence markets (NATO STANAG / MIL-PRF-3420) via UAB KONNECT PACKAGING EUROPE, Lithuania.
