US Idaho: Nieuwe wet verbiedt lokale regels kunststof tassen

12 februari 2016

Recently a bill was introduced in the Idaho Legislature to prohibit local ordinances that ban or restrict the use of “auxiliary containers.” The bill – HB 372 – has been approved by the House of Representatives and is now being reviewed in the Senate by the Committee on Local Government and Taxation.
HB 372 defines auxiliary containers as reusable bags, disposable bags, boxes, cups and bottles made of cloth, paper, plastic, extruded polystyrene or similar materials that are designed for one-time use or for transporting merchandise or food from food and retail facilities. Similar bills have been introduced in Wisconsin and South Carolina (State Recycling Laws Update, 8 February 2016).
